Programming Manager - Manage computer programming activities and projects, including the programming team that currently consists of four programmers. Duties include assigning weekly projects to department members; overseeing the operations, functionality, and continued enhancement of the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems that are responsible for the company’s finance functions; overseeing the creation of software and web applications for ERP and financial applications based on PHP, Symfony, Linux servers, and other specialized tools; overseeing the company’s website properties; acting as department liaison for all company internal departments relating to the development of ERP systems; developing short, intermediate, and long-term plans and goals for the programming department; leading the automation of internal processes companywide; and recruiting, coaching, and training company programmers. Position requires (1) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or very-closely related field. Employer will accept foreign equivalent education. (2) 2 years of experience in a programming management position, including each of the following: (a) managing teams of programmers and programming projects; (b) recruiting, coaching, and training programmers; (c) creating software using the Symfony framework; (d) developing web-based ERP and financial applications with PHP; and (e) administering Linux servers.
